Even though it was longer than 2 hours I barelyfelt it. Thedirector did not screw it up by trying to outdo the anime or manga, andit didn't go up its own butt with social commentary. One day, Ryuk, bored by the shinigami lifestyle and interested in seeing how a human would use a Death Note, drops one into the human realm. The pace was brilliant andkept the movie fresh.
