Then I was able to put the car in park, turn the car off, and restart the car. We popped the hood, the same looking red fluid is all over the battery, and looks to be arouund the casing of the battery as well. The heated seat were not working. About halfway up the hill my car stalled unexpectedly and locked up. I can't completely fill my fuel tank. The current mileage was 51,200 and failure mileage was 6,000.
I had the battery replaced but I am still having the problem. The transmission would chatter when accelerating. The fuel gauge is completely unreliable. After doing the installation myself I understand the logic, but the advertisement of free installations of batteries should be more explicit that there are exclusions. I will see what happens when I'm on my way home.
Fire erupted on driver's side under hood. Credit for core issued right then. Had I not jumped out I would have been dead. The failure mileage was 74,903 and the current mileage 75,139. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle began to shake and made a thumping sound.
The manufacturer was notified of the failure. I again took my Pacifica and used it when the problem continued withall the same problems but this time my fuel gauge dropped to empty and my dte distance until empty dropped to zero and my truck shut off as I was merging onto the highway and I nearly got involved into an accident with several vehicles. Tired of having old battery jumped after 10 minutes of listening to the radio on accessory mode. The mechanics had replaced the battery, the alternator assembly and additional parts but the failure persisted. Autocraft Gold automotive batteries are engineered for maximum starting power in any climate.
I only drive it in town because I'm afraid of running out of fuel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Thankfully I was in a low traffic area and the cars behind me were following at a safe distance. The failure mileage was not available. After doing the installation myself I understand the logic, but the advertisement of free installations of batteries should be more explicit that there are exclusions. We could not figure out what was going on.
The alarms are always preceded by the flickering of any electrical equipment that may be on at the time. We instructed them to keep the vehicle and put some miles on it in until it duplicated. It would not start, and briefly flashed some kind of service needed warning on the screen. When I got to work, I shut the vehicle off. I then had my car towed to my house where it remains until I have it towed to the dealership.
Don't want to bother with installing your Autocraft Gold battery? The car I used this in does sit for days unused and so far no problems starting. The manufacturer was not notified. I have searched for my car if it falls in the recall category but it shows nothing. I am not only concerned about this issue but also for my safety and others on the road. I now have no desire to even drive my car with any of my family in it incase this happens again. It is still occurring and it is now 2007 this is my 3rd time taking it in and also my radio does not work anymore and the battery dies after 15 minutes of leaving the key in the ignition.
The dealer said they made repair. I was lucky enough that the dealer I bought it from changed the fuel pump right after I bought it because I ran out of fuel on a trip to Ohio from Illinois but it didn't fix the issue. It was fine for about a week. Event happens any time - day or night. The contact stated that an odor emitted from the vehicle. No codes are displayed for their computer. I since took my Pacifica to another Chrysler dealership and left it with them and again they claim that there is nothing wrong which again costed me more money for nothing.
I have agin contacted the dealer and this time I provided a video of the lights and dash lights which included the noise coming through my stereo that I recorder with my iphone they again made an appointment with me to bring my Pacifica back in and they made it clear that I would have to pay for their time once agian until they can find the problem and at which time they said the warranty company would cover the costs. The vehicle is turning into a money pit. If you can't find it, call Chrysler and they will give you the code for free. It's unreliable and a major threat to someone's safety. The fuel pump was replaced. Appears to be totally unpredictable. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off.
That is absolutely ridiculous as our vehicle suffered the exact same problems as they all did 2 weeks earlier!!! I got off freeway somehow and turned car on and off again a few times and it seemed like it was a one time thing. The problems started within 9 months of my purchase date. I pulled into the next available parking lot to recover and try to evaluate my car for what the issue was. The manufacture was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. Check for this code in your owners manual - it will usually be either a sticker or small card in the booklet.
